John Paul Farahat
John Paul Farahat began his musical education in 1997 when he entered St. Michael’s Choir School in Toronto. Upon graduation, he entered the University of Toronto Faculty of Music, where he received the Arthur Edward Redsell Scholarship in recognition of his work.
Mr. Farahat began his organ studies in 2006 with the Director of Music at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Toronto, Paul Jenkins. He is currently pursuing the Bachelor of Music in Organ under the tutelage of Dr. Kevin Komisaruk, with whom he also studied the harpsichord.
Active as an arranger and composer, Mr. Farahat has collaborated with numerous ensembles including the Victoria Scholars, the Cantabile Chamber Singers, and Alawyn (Studio of Early Music Toronto). He currently serves as Organ Scholar at the Anglican Church of St. Clement in Toronto.
