Gordon D. Mansell - Executive Producer, Artistic Director
Gordon Mansell is Music Director and Organist at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Toronto where he directs a music program of over 120 singers from five choirs. He is also the Ontario dealer for the world’s largest organ builder, Allen Organ Company. Gordon is Co-founder and executive producer of ORGANIX CONCERTS INC., a wholly owned subsidiary of Glionna Mansell Corporation.

Aaron is a passionate organist, engineer, and pianist. His musical upbringing was primarily on the piano and later on the violin. Receiving his Associate (ARCT) diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, Canada at the age of twelve, he went on to earn his Licentiate (LTCL) and Fellowship (FTCL) diplomas in Piano Performance from Trinity College of Music (London, England) at 13 and 15 years, respectively. When he was 18, he also completed his ARCT diploma in Violin Performance.

Christopher Dawes, numbered among Canada’s leading church musicians, concert organists and choral accompanists, is a freelance musician and consultant based at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music. Following a 20-year career serving churches and cathedrals of the Anglican Church of Canada in September 2013 he commenced a new chapter in his varied musical story as Principal Organist to Timothy Eaton Memorial Church in Toronto, its Choir School and Radio Ministry.

Daniel Rubinoff is acclaimed as one of Canada’s most promising young saxophonists. He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in France, Canada and the United States. His discography includes The Old Castle, Daniel Rubinoff Plays the Music of Srul Glick, The Canada Song, The Dance of the Blessed Spirits, and Daniel Rubinoff Plays Denis Bédard. His recordings are broadcast on CBC, CJRT and CFMX Radio. He has appeared on the cover of the International Saxophone Journal with a feature article on his career. He won the ARCT Gold Medal from the Royal Conservatory of Music for the highest score in the orchestral instrument category.

David Briggs is an internationally renowned organist whose performances are acclaimed for their musicality, virtuosity, and ability to excite and engage audiences of all ages. With an extensive repertoire spanning five centuries, he is known across the globe for his brilliant organ transcriptions of symphonic music by composers such as Mahler, Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Elgar, Bruckner, Ravel, and Bach. Fascinated by the art of Improvisation since a child, David also frequently performs improvisations to silent films such as Phantom of the Opera, Hunchback of Notre-Dame, Nosferatu, Jeanne d’Arc, Metropolis, as well as a variety of Charlie Chaplin films.

Ottawa based organist and pianist, Jennifer Loveless holds a Masters degree in organ performance from McGill University, an Artist Diploma in piano performance from Concordia University and an Associate Diploma in piano performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto. Previously organist at Erskine & American United Church in Montreal and interim organist at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church in Ottawa, Jennifer is currently organist at Notre Dame Cathedral in Ottawa.

SIMON WALKER is from the United Kingdom and started his musical training as a chorister at Durham Cathedral. From September 2005 he studied music at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2009. During this time he spent three years as Organ Scholar of St. Mary’s Episcopal Cathedral and also as Accompanist to Edinburgh University Music Society Chorus.

William O’Meara is organist at St. Michael’s Cathedral. He is also co-founder of ORGANIX. Recently, Bill premiered and recorded an organ concerto Cathedral Architecture by John Burge, and was soloist with the Hannaford Street Silver Band at Ottawa Chamberfest. He was also featured on the CBC Radio program Ideas and was organist for the Canadian premiere of Benjamin Britten’s Triumph of the Spirit by the Toronto Orpheus Choir.

Zsigmond Szathmáry was born in Hungary in 1939, and received his musical training in composition and organ at the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. Subsequent studies led him to Vienna and Frankfurt. In 1960 he won first prize at the Budapest Organ Competition. In 1972 he received the Bach Prize Scholarship of the Free Hanseatic City of Hamburg. He was active as an organist in Hamburg and at the Bremen Cathedral. After teaching at the Lübeck and Hannover Colleges of Music, he was appointed professor at the State College of Music in Freiburg in 1978.

Prof. Roman Perucki (Gdansk, Poland) graduated in 1985 from the Gdansk Music Academy and the organ class of Prof. Leon Bator where he himself started teaching there that same year and is now the professor of the organ class. Additionally, he teaches music in secondary schools and provides masterclasses in Poland, Portugal, Mexico, Croatia, Russia and France. Prof. Perucki is the titular organist at the Oliwa Cathedral in Gdansk. He is also managing director of the Baltic Philharmonic Orchestra (http://www.filharmonia.gda.pl/) and the President of the “Musica Sacra” Society and the Society of Friends of the Oliwa Cathedral having contributed his unique knowledge and skills to the design and build of the new Cathedral organ.
