Christopher Reynolds was appointed Director of Music and Organist at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Richmond, Virginia in January of 2016. Prior to this appointment, Christopher was the Associate Director of Music at Christ Church Cranbrook in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Christopher holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance and Church Music from the University of Michigan, studying with the world-renowned organist, Dr. Marilyn Mason. While at Michigan, Christopher was a featured performer in the American Guild of Organists (AGO) Master Series DVD about the career of Dr. Mason. He also earned both a Bachelor of Music in Music Education, with a Performance Certificate in Organ, and a Master of Music in Organ Performance from Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia, where he studied with Dr. Steven Cooksey and Dr. W. Dudley Oakes. Christopher holds the Choirmaster Certificate from the AGO and is also active with the Association of Anglican Musicians. Christopher also currently serves as the Sub Dean of the Richmond Chapter of the AGO and is the assistant to the Center for Liturgy and Music at Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia.
